After eating the macaroni and cheese that the lady had ordered from the kitchen, the little girl told how she had run away and ridden the bus and come up in the elevator and walked until she found the door with the curly 12 on it. Grandmother and the lady were quiet surprised. Then the lady put a blanket and an extra pillow on the little couch for so the little girl could sleep. That was the best macaroni and cheese ever. In the kitchen the lady was talking on the phone while Grandmother sipped tea.
The girl was asleep.
